I spent a week at my sister's cabin near Farmington, MO (south of St. Louis). We worked on removing invasives such as Russian olive and honeysuckle from her yard, as well numerous seedling trees from the garden bed along her driveway. I noticed a particularly nice looking seedling and wondered if I should leave it there -- she wanted to preserve the small trees such as flowering dogwood and redbud and take out the ones that would grow tall. Well, I finally saw the mother tree and it was about 100 ft. high! So I pulled out the seedlings but have not been able to identify the species. I'll post a photo, and please tell me if you know this one.
