Greetings Monarch Watchers!

As many of you know, we introduced our now annual "Chip in for
Monarch Watch" fundraising campaign back in 2009. In response to our
"Future of Monarch Watch" article (http://monarchwatch.org/future),
several long-time Monarch Watchers suggested a dedicated fundraising
campaign in honor of Chip and the program he brought to life more
than two decades ago. We thought this was a great idea and it seemed
fitting to run such a campaign around Chip's birthday, which happens
to coincide with the monarch's fall migration.

These campaigns have been a huge success, with hundreds of donors
contributing tens of thousands of dollars annually to Monarch Watch -
funds that that have allowed us to keep our education, conservation,
and research programs going and growing. In 2011 we raised more than
  $31,000 via nearly 500 donors - wow!

With just 10 days left in this year's campaign (ends September 30th),
  approximately 60 donors have pledged/donated a total of $6,385.00 -
thank you! This is a great start to be sure, but we have a long way
to go to meet or exceed the contributions made during previous
  campaigns.

  Monarch Watch needs your help.

If you are in a position to offer financial support, please consider
making a fully tax-deductible donation of any amount during our 2012
"Chip in for Monarch Watch" fundraising campaign. If you are unable
to contribute financially at this time, please help us by spreading
the word about this fundraising effort to others that may be
  interested in offering support.

Visit http://monarchwatch.org/chip for more information or to submit
your tax-deductible donation. Be sure to check out the comments and
photos submitted by other donors - we are continually amazed by the
connections that are made through monarchs and Monarch Watch.

We greatly appreciate your continued support - whatever form it may take :-)

  Thank you!
