Hi, you probably will still need to roll and wet felt if you want to get a true nuno look. The embellisher alone I have found does not get the nuno look I want...but may be able assist in the beginning stages. My concern is that you will not be able to get the fibers thin enough. I've tried to get a nuno on an embellisher too, but with very limited success. And I've tried lots of things...including deconstructing and "pulping" old wool sweaters to reclaim the fibers to use for felting and (think paper making)
But, also, I say try and let us know! You may have a secret or technique I did not think of. I for one was tired of hearing, no, that can't be done, even after I did it. : )

2012/5/23 Barbara <Brucket@aol.com>I took a beginner nuno felting class. We were discussing the use of the embellisher with it and the teacher said to use the machine to tack down all the fibers and then wet felt it. Have not tried it yet but it is somewhere on the to do list.
