Vivienne:
I have published a needle felting book aimed especially for quilters. It was published by Tacony, the makers of the Babylock Embellisher and it addresses the issues faced by new felting machine owners. It is aimed at quilters as all of the projects are quilts the used panels created by needle felting. The information applies to any felting machine. Because there is so little information for newbies, gradually many of us on this list have posted lessons and tutorials on our blogs and websites. Take a look at the links people leave in their signatures and other parts to the machine needle felting group site. These links will take you many places on the Internet where you will learn the limitless things you can do with a felting machine. WARNING - you may not get anything else done for a few weeks once you start!!!
I hope this helps,
Linda Hall

> Hi there ! I am a brand new needle felter. I have treated myself to a Janome Xpression, have no idea why, and what to use it for, I am a long time sewer and crafter who has been a quilter now for about 16 years, I would like to incorporate my felting into my quilts but don't know if I can do it, doesn't seem to much out there on this subject, I did have a trial some years ago and came home with some samples which I turned into postcards, but surely, I can do more than this. Are any of you quilters? and do you use your felting machines to embellish your quilts? if so I would love to hear from you and where I can go for more help. I have enjoyed reading my first digest.
