Hi Maggie,
This sounds good. I revamped some of my needles the other day as I had completely run out and I only had two unbroken ones left. I have an extremely fine diamond file so I filed to a point the ones which had just a quarter inch or so broken off the tips. When I put them in the machine I didn't push them all the way up so they were similar length to the unbroken ones, tightened them really really tight and they were fine. I managed to finish the piece I was working on ok.
Suzy.
