I don't know Norwich too well yet but my son is an undergraduate at University of East Anglia in Norwich since September 2010 so we are getting to know our way around. There is the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art http://www.scva.org.uk/

Wroxham Barns a few miles out of Norwich - various crafts - I go for the little quilt shop http://www.wroxhambarns.co.uk/

Also at Wroxham you can hire a boat and take yourself on The Broads.

Great Yarmouth is about 20 miles away - if you want to pass a few windmills on the way to a British seaside town.

What sort of things do you like to do? I'm going there for a couple of days next week to pick up my son and bring him home for the Easter holidays. We won't have much time for sightseeing but I'll squeeze a little bit of fabric shopping in somewhere. There are still some sewing shops I haven't located yet.
