  The Art of Machine Needle Felting is a great starter book.  You can get it from my website.  I also sell replacement needles at prices close to 50% of what you would pay at the dealer.  So, you don't have to worry so much about breaking needles.  ALso check out my website for tips on how to avoid needle breakage.
