Honestly, I don't think you need classes. After my demo at the quilt show, I watched videos on the different web sites that sell embellishers, YouTube, got Pokey Bolton's DVD from Quilting Arts, read the books by Linda Hall, Her Majesty Margo, poked around on web sites including www.tryourdesigns.com to get the gist of the materials & techniques used. Then, you just gotta jump in & do it—LOL You can buy little packets of trims at quilt shows to start using to see how the different materials work & react to the needles before you invest in a lot of "stash". Then just go for it.

Thank you, Barb. I think I will buy the one my Pfaff dealer has for sale, *if* she ever gets around to having a class on it. That way, if I have questions with it, I will have support. I don't have a Brother dealer that is reasonably close. My Pfaff dealer isn't MUCH closer, but at least I know the way to her shop. She's about a 90 minute drive, whereas the Brother dealer is about 3 hours (one way).
