[machine_needle_felting] Re: silk roving

 

Hi Liz,

The green scarfe is all machine felted including the fancy
knitting yarn and fringe then beaded.

The pink scarfe is machine felted except for lurex thread running
the full length of the scarfe which I couched with a fine zig zag stitch and invisible thread. The contrasts on the fronts is
felted knitting yarn. I embroidered a scallop edge to one side
of the scarfe and partly accross the bottom.
The small beads on the bottom match the
butterfly brooch I made from free standing lace.
Time will tell the durability of the fabric.
