Hi Barb,

No, silk does not handle the same as wool - Silk has no barbs unlike wool and it requires a carrier fabric, it does not felt to itself - in these cases I used a fine wedding lace which I dyed to match the roving.
Silk has a fine gossamer like feel - it is gorgeous.
