I was recently introduced to this group through word of mouth. I have been lurking here for about two weeks and so thought it was time to post a small introduction.
Perfume has always had an allure for me, ever since a child. Recently I have rediscovered the joy in attempting to create - well more like fumbling at the moment - scents. In my heart, I feel that this is the only way to move forward.
At the moment I am making personal bodycare items such as soap, balms, etc. However I was never satisfied with just using one essential oil - maybe two.. to add body to my items. I want to create something uniquely my own. Now, just by happenstance, this group was made known to me and I'm pretty set on starting this journey. Natural fragrances, to me, have more "fullness" (for lack of a better word) than the synthetics I have been limited to.
I have some essential oils and tried a blend or two.. but, again, these are baby steps. I'm going to move back into lurkdom and read the posts from the beginning. Thank you for letting me join such a wonderful group!
