about this group:
This is not a rule, but it is the most frequently asked question by
people who have just begun to use their Cuttlebug:
"HELP! My B plate has cut marks on it!"
It is perfectly normal for your B plate to show marks after use. It
will not harm anything. Be sure to use the same plate against the
cutting side so the other one remains clear.
Yes, the B plate on the top of your "sandwich" will 'bend'.
Remedy: Turn it over afer each use and it will remain straight.
There is more information in the Files and database.
Looking for a 'sandwich' recipe? Check our files and database.
Posting Messages:
Use a short subject line that describes the point of your
message. If there is 'drift' from the original subject line,
please change it to reflect the current topic.
Posting Replies:
When you reply to a message be sure to delete
most of the message you are replying to and leave only enough
so your reply makes sense.
This is very important for a number of reasons so please always
try to do that. :) It is easy to do: highlight the part to delete,
then hit your Delete key to remove excess words.
Be Nice
Being nice also means that you put OT/ in the subject line
of messages that are not related to the purpose of this list.
It's ok to be a little chatty or Off Topic from time to
time but please write off list if your message is only
of interest to the person who posted a message.
We love to answer questions - but before you ask, please check
the files and database for information you need. A search in
our message archives is a good way to quickly find answers to common
questions. If it isn't there, someone on the list is sure to offer
help.
Where to buy something? It's fine to ask, but first you should try
to find it yourself - Use the name of the product/technique as
a keyword to Google for many sources. Or search the archives.
One-line messages are ok, but if you want to say thanks to several
people, try to group those into one message rather than clutter the
list with a lot of messages - many of our members use the Digest
mode.
No flames or critical remarks.
No off-color language or graphics.
No jokes. No matter how funny, this is not the place to share them.
No religious or political messages.
Do not forward or copy/paste messages from any other source. None.
No warnings of any kind including products and virus warnings.
Do not advertise other lists that you may own or read. It's ok to
say 'I saw this on another list' without naming it. This includes mentions
in your sig line.
Any of these will be deleted from the archives.
If in doubt, email one of the moderators for guidance before you send the message to the list.
If you should ever have a problem with any person on the list,
do not post it publicly. Bring your issue to the attention
of the moderators so we can all find a good solution.
This is an ad-free list. No selling or trading. You're welcome
to post a message about a place where you've had a good shopping
experience if you are not affiliated with it in any way. Add the URL
link if possible but do not post the entire web page or any portion
of it. Likewise, you are encouraged to add a link to that source in our
Links area.
If you have a blog or other web page that is Non-Commercial, it's fine to
add it to your Sig line and put it in our links so all of us can visit.
Limit these to only two lines in your signature.
BLOGS: Saturday is Blog Day. If you update your blog, you may send a
notice to the group _only_ on Saturdays. Your notice MUST include a photo
or scan as an attachment and/or upload it to your photo album with a
clickable link. Be sure attachments are no larger than 100kb. Your notice
must have BB at the beginning of the subject line. For details, see Messages # 9871 and 9553 in the message archives.
Everyone is encouraged to set up a photo album here. We
love to see your work. Be sure to give it the same name you
use to sign messages so it will be easier to find.
There is separate file for Photos with tips on how to upload
and view them.
Copyright has a file of its own. We take that very seriously
so please read that file carefully. We're always happy to
answer questions about that or any other issue you may have.
S0 - with that out of the way, let's go have some fun, make
something terrific. Don't forget to tell us about what you've
done! :) Better yet, show us a photo too.
Big Smiles,
Martha Rose, list mom
