To all the new people here-- Welcome! The list has been pretty busy, and unusually quiet right now. I find that most lists have busy and quiet times. For myself, I haven't been doing any felting recently. I have been buried in prom gown alterations all spring and will be doing those and bridesmaid dresses for the next couple of weeks.
I do needle felting using the prom gown cutoffs.... fancy fabrics with a duck cloth / canvas as background. These fabrics will pull out easier than the wools, so they are overstitched with decorative stitching. I have acquired lots of wool stuff, and will be getting into that side of felting -- but not today!
Go back in the files and read old posts and look at the neat pics! List mom Denise has supplies. Most of your questions have probably already been answered before. There are no set rules for machine needle felting. If there was one, it would probably be: Stop moving your fabric before you stop running the machine. (A lot less broken needles- learned by experience!)
So -- ask question or post a pic of your work..... get the list going again!
