Re: [Native Gardening] Re: Herbicides in the environment

Of course no one wants to lose the flowers and especially this Spring considering everything is blooming at the same time. Right now, Spring Beauties, Rue Anemone, Tootwort, Virginia Bluebells, Jacobs Ladder and Wild Geraniums all are blooming in my yard

We abuse the land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.

I'm sure they will.  It's like I tell others: natives know how to live here.  They'll be fine.  I just would hate to lose the prettiness.

Your plants will be fine Benia even if the flowers fall off

Can you guys please just agree to disagree already?  Technically, this topic is appropriate, but the bickering is just childish.  I have taken my side, everyone else probably has, too.  I'd like to see something other than this tired old argument in my emails for a change.

Remember, we are on the same side.  We need to stick together for the common goal of saving the native species.  We will differ on methods, but we must band together to remain strong.

Thank you,
Benia Zouras
Bartlett, IL

P.S.  We have a freeze warning for tonight!  I just spotted several species in my native yard that are blooming.  Hope they are tough and make it through.

Yeah you're right....never been a big fan of conspiracy theories

Please copy and paste the name I have called you.

A genome in the wrong place is much like kudzo in the wrong place. If you think genetic modification, which places whole alien/foreign biologicaly constructed chemical suites into a new genetic group, is the same thing as related plant groups, sharing similar traits.

As to you, Frank, you still show no evidence of actually having looked at any information that differs from that which you wish to have faith in, not even the tiddly bit I sent.

Yours, Pego Rice
