hi sorry to hijack this...but i have a plant that looks similar to yours, but also a lot like violets. they do not flower, though, and grow to be about 2-3 times the size of the violets in the rest of my yard which do flower. most of them seem to be about 3-4 inches wide (the leaves), some get as big as 5 or 6 inches wide. the violets in my yard which do bloom are only about 2-3 inches wide. i know that without a photo people may not be able to help me....but if you can just think of some plant names that I could google, perhaps I could find out what it is via process of elimination. a friend told me they were lilies, but lo and behold, no flowers. another website told me that they could be violets that were not getting enough sun...but still, they seem so big. thanks for any help you can provide. if it helps at all I live near wet woodlands. the plants are in a shady area of my yard under 2 verbanums (sp?) and a giant tree. thanks again -jamie --- On Sat, 9/3/11, Kathleen Domenig <kmdomenig@mindspring.com> wrote:
