Re: [Native Gardening] RE: Tell Whole Foods Market to go stop selling toxic foods and go organic!

Yeah...but do you trust the "organic" label in the first place?  I don't.  I trust what I grow myself, quite frankly.

All I ask ... is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

Subject: [Native Gardening] RE: Tell Whole Foods Market to go stop selling toxic foods and go organic!

Hello friends,

Common Circle Education is absolutely thrilled to announce our
newest project - the Real Whole Foods Campaign
(http://wholefoodscampaign.org). This is a clear message to Whole
Foods Market that they must go organic, or we will politely
re-brand them as Whole Toxic Foods Market for their "co-existence"
with genetically modified foods and greenwashing of "conventional"
pesticide-laced foods as "natural".

Please sign on at http://www.wholefoodscampaign.org

As the nation's largest natural foods store, Whole Foods claims to
sell "natural and organic foods". Yet the majority of the foods
they sell are neither particularly natural nor organic. Their so-
called "conventional" foods are laced with toxic pesticides and
cancer-causing chemicals that cause debilitating diseases and
extreme harm to our planet. Their CEO admits that the majority of
the foods in their store are also contaminated with genetically
modified ingredients.

In other words, their claims of being "natural and organic"
altogether amount to false advertising and blatant greenwashing.
Our message is clear: anything not certified organic is inherently
likely to contain toxic pesticides and genetically modified
ingredients -- neither of which has any place in our food supply.

Sign on to the campaign: http://wholefoodscampaign.org

Join us in demanding that Whole Foods Market demonstrate real
leadership by going completely 100% organic within the next four
years. It takes three years for farmers to transition and be
certified organic. There is no reason why Whole Foods Market
cannot demand today that all of its suppliers begin transitioning
to organic immediately. No more greenwashing, no more false
advertising and no more excuses -- this is the time for real
leadership. Whole Foods must put forth a clear plan to eliminate
all non-organic (and thus all genetically modified) foods from
its shelves within the next four years.

Sign the petition and let's prevent millions of gallons of highly
toxic pesticides from going into our soils and water supplies.
Join us and tell Whole Foods Market that we do not want to continue
poisoning the earth and the people. No more will we tolerate our
friends dying of cancer and other debilitating diseases, no more
will we continue to poison the earth! Whole Foods Market must
take a clear stand for the people and for the planet.

We hope you will join us: http://wholefoodscampaign.org

With gratitude,

Vladislav
