Machine embroidery works well on felt. Craft felt should work fine for a base if you embroider over it.

[machine_needle_felting] Project

I have started a new project, a table runner or cover for my coffee table. Here is my plans: I die cut some felted wool leaves today, not sure if I will need more yet or not. I don't have a big enough felted wool piece for the base, so I will be using craft felt for that. I am planning on putting some machine embroidery down threw the center. I have never machine embroidered on felt before, so will see how that goes. I am thinking I may want some stems running with the leaves. Has anyone ever did anything like this? Judy
