It is close to $100 for the extra head - either the 7 needle or the 12 needle head. But I paid more than that for the Walking Foot for my sewing machine so I look at it as another part for my art. The replacement needles are very expensive so I recommend getting them from Denise at www.tryourdesigns.com where you can buy them in packages or in bulk. I hope this helps,

Re: [machine_needle_felting] Re: BabyLock Embellisher 12 needle
Hi I checked with my dealer and was told that I could order that part but it would cost 90.00 so I will probably wait for a while I just got my machine a few months ago and I heaven't done much with it yet. Does everyone buy their needles from the dealers or is it safe to have felting needles cut to the right size. Sally --- On Fri, 4/29/11, fabric <Lindah40@dejazzd.com> wrote:

Your Babylock dealer orders parts for machines all the time and it would just be a matter of them ordering an extra head for you. However, the heads do not come with screws so you will need to order the screws that hold the needles - 12 of them. I did this and put size 42 needles in the extra head and switch it out when I need to do finer work.

How can any part on this machine be glued? How and where is it glued and how does that hold up to the action of the needles? Did I miss the explanation somewhere?
